Deluxe Giant White Bread


  • 1 package Aunt Millie’s Deluxe Giant White Bread
  • ½ c. butter
  • 1 package celery, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sage or oregano
  • 1 can vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1 c. Craisins
  • ½ c. fresh chopped parsley, optional

Yield: 12 servings


  1. Melt the butter in a large pot or wok or electric frying pan.
  2. Saute the celery and onion in the butter until soft. Toss in the salt, lemon pepper, and sage or oregano.
  3. Meanwhile, cube the bread in batches by stacking 4 or 5 slices and cutting them up one way, and then the other way.
  4. Start adding batches of the cubed bread gradually into the vegetable mixture. Pour some broth on each batch as you add it, toss to coat and sauté.Keep doing this until all the bread is added and sautéed.
  5. Then add the Craisins and parsley, toss and allow to heat through.
  6. You can use this to stuff a turkey, or bake in the oven in a 9 x 13 dish at 350 for 30-45 minutes.
