Brats with Tropical Salsa

Super Sub Buns


  • 1 package of Aunt Millie's Super Sub Buns
  • 1 package of hot dogs or smoked brats, your favorite
  • Tropical Salsa, recipe follows:
  • Small can of crushed pineapple
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 orange bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 yellow bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 tomato, diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup jicama, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • Handful of cilantro, chopped

Yield: 6 Sandwiches


  1. Combine all ingredients for the salsa in a medium bowl, and refrigerate for a few hours to let flavors combine.
  2. When ready to serve, preheat grill to medium-high heat. Cook hot dogs or brats to desired doneness.
  3. Place hot dog or brat in a football bun, and top with desired amount of tropical salsa.
  4. Enjoy.
