A food allergy is an immune system response to the protein component of a particular food. While individuals may have food sensitivities to a wide array of food items, there are eight major food allergens recognized by the FDA that are more prone to inducing allergic reactions: milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soybean products. Our production facilities undergo rigorous and extensive cleaning when these common allergens are present to reduce the risk of any cross-contamination. This is one of Aunt Millie’s many efforts to reduce the number of allergens present in our products, ensuring the safest and most wholesome product for your consumption. Where allergens are present, they are clearly stated on the information panel of all of our packaging for your knowledge and safety.

There are NO PEANUTS, nor peanut products present in any of Aunt Millie's Bakeries products. All hamburger buns, hot dog buns, and sub buns contain ONLY ONE of the eight major food allergens: WHEAT.
